My Gym was born out of our passion to teach children in a fun, physically engaging environment. We delighted in seeing children's eyes light up for all those incredible milestones, from the tentative first steps to tumbling down soft mats. Sharing the parents’ excitement at their children’s accomplishments was the high point of our day.
Picture this: In 1983, three fitness enthusiasts—Yacov, Susi Sherman, and Bill Caplin—redefined children's fitness by blending dance, gymnastics, and athletics. That's the birth of My Gym! Their mission: create a space just for kids—no more sharing mom's or dad's gym, but My Gym. With backgrounds in dance, gymnastics, and athletics, they crafted a unique fitness curriculum focused on non-competitive skill building for ages 6 weeks to 14 years. Fast forward: Cory and Monique turned My Gym into a franchise sensation in 1994. The success was undeniable, growing from 100 kids to over 400 in a year. Now a global phenomenon, My Gym is consistently ranked the #1 children's program worldwide.

Mr. Dave lives in Scituate, MA with his family, his birthday is September 11th. Dave attended Bowdoin College and received a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Tufts University. Dave started My Gym Norwell in March of 2008 and My Gym Cohasset in March of 2016. Something you might not know about Mr. Dave is that from 2003 through 2007 he was a science teacher at Cohasset High School!
Miss Kendra has been with My Gym since July of 2008! Her birthday is February 8th and she lives in Weymouth MA. Kendra has a B.S. in Dance Management from Oklahoma City University and has over 22 years of experience and training in ballet tap and jazz. Her favorite physical activity is of course dancing! Her favorite thing about working at My Gym is "the kids of course!". Something you might not know about Miss Kendra is... she loves giraffes!
Miss Heidi started with My Gym in March 2022. Her birthday is January 5th. Heidi was both raised and currently lives in Pembroke. Heidi went to Notre Dame Academy for High School and studied for two years at Stonehill College. Heidi has previously worked as a babysitter and mother's helper since the age of 12, and then as a nanny for four years. Her favorite fitness activity is dance and currently trapeze! Heidi's favorite part of working at My Gym is working somewhere where having FUN is the goal! Something you may not know about Miss Heidi is... she can sing with her mouth closed!
Miss Megan first started with My Gym in March of 2013! Her birthday is December 29th and she currently lives in Marshfield with her husband and two sons. Megan received her B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Social Work from Bridgewater State University in 2013, and received her MA in Psychology in 2016. Megan has danced since she was 3 years old. She was on her high school dance team, danced competitively for her dance studio, and most recently danced with a charity dance team in 2017. Her favorite fitness activities include dancing, Zumba, kayaking, and rock climbing. Megan’s favorite part of working at My Gym is watching children laugh and grow every day. Something you may not know about Miss Megan is... she has danced in the parade at Magic Kingdom in Disney World, as well as at a Celtics game!
Miss Kayla started with My Gym in September 2022. Kayla has 5 younger siblings, and lives in Marshfield, MA. Kayla has lived in 3 New England states- Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, and she has previously worked multiple positions in the restaurant industry. Kayla’s favorite sport is soccer, and her favorite part of working at My Gym is how much FUN she gets to have at work! Some things you may not know about Miss Kayla are... she is obsessed with Harry Potter, and she eats dessert every single night!
Miss Riley started with My Gym in November 2022. Riley resides in Pembroke and is currently studying at Massasoit Community College. Riley has previous experience as a tumbling instructor and was a cheerleader for 13 years! Riley’s favorite sport is cheerleading (of course!) Her favorite parts of working at My Gym are coming into a happy, upbeat environment daily with coworkers she loves, and witnessing all of the kids’ progress in classes! Something you may not know about Miss Riley is... she has a dog named Oscar and a cat named Poe!
Miss Chelsea started with My Gym in February 2023. Her birthday is October 26th. Chelsea grew up in Weymouth. She has 3 kid, including twins!! She worked as a nanny for over 10 years! Chelsea’s favorite things about working at my gym are her amazing co-workers and getting to connect with kids every day! Something you may not know about Miss Chelsea is... she danced competitively and was on her high school dance team!
Miss Allyson has been at My Gym since July 2024. She grew up in Weymouth and currently lives there. Miss Allyson has her B.A in Education and Dance from Stonehill College. She minored in Arts Administration. Miss Allyson has not only been a dance teacher since 2019, but she danced competitively for her studio in Weymouth! She loves Ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and acro. Miss Allyson loves working at My Gym because she gets to see the kids grow and learn everyday. Fun Fact: Miss Allyson has danced in a Disney World parade and on Broadway!
Miss Olivia started working at My Gym in August 2024. She grew up in San Diego, California! She currently lives in Quincy. Her birthday is February 9th! Miss Olivia loves soccer, cross country and going to the gym. She played soccer for over 10 years and ran track. Miss Olivia was a 3rd grade teacher in Arizona, as well as a Preschool and Kindergarten teacher! Miss Olivia received her Bachelors in Liberal Studies Pre- Credential at Cal Poly Pomona in Los Angeles. She is currently working towards her Masters in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University. Her favorite thing about working at My Gym is seeing all the kiddo's smiles! Fun Fact about Miss Olivia is she was born in Russia :)
Ms Naimh started working at My Gym on Halloween Day 2024! She originally grew up in Hingham and Cohasset. She currently lives in Bridgewater. Miss Niamh graduated from Cohasset High School. She received her Associates Degree at Massasoit, and attends Bridgewater State University currently working towards her Bachelors. Miss Naimh's favorite sports are football, golf and skiing! Her favorite part about My Gym is creating bonds with the families, as well as helping the kids develop! Fun Fact about Ms Niamh is that she came to My Gym as a kid, and even celebrated her birthday party here!
